Peace X Peace sounds like a great organization! My teacher knows a person that works in the group and she might be willing to help us. I am excited!

Wikipedia
When I downloaded Wikipedia on the blog I thought to maybe test it out. I put the web Kiva and I looked at the screen. There it was the definition of Kiva and the definition was in italian! I made a mistake by downloading it in Italian. I fixed the language but if you still don't understand it, comment please!!:p

Latinas en Movimiento

Latinas en Movimiento is a group that helps latinas learn a variety of ways to improve their lives. We don't know for sure what they help with and how they help but Alma is connecting with the coordinator Lilliliana M at the moment. I hope we can attend one of their meetings.

Our Process
Our process started when we chose what we wanted to do. The first time the teachers introduced my class and I to exhibition. They shared different subjects on what we could do to help not only our society but, help globally! We brainstormed some ideas on what we could do and came up with the subjects: animals, community helpers, health, poverty, violence, and human rights. At first they asked us to write down our first and second choice on which we were interested. We gave it to them and after recess they told us which groups we were going to be. My choice was Human rights. (I want to be a lawyer when I grow up : ) no one else other than Alma chose it and I began to wonder if I made the right choice. Then, I was really thrilled because I considered myself unique.
After that I got so excited every time Alma and I met with the group! (Since there were two of us we had to join another group.) We were so pumped up that the teacher thought we could be in a group alone and that’s when SeƱorita D. came into the picture! Ms. Griffith set us up with our Spanish teacher so we could be in our own little group! Now we are buzzing all over the place with cool ideas. We go so fast that we have to write our notions down on our new blog! But that’s okay because I really think this is THE coolest project ever!

Two Interviews
We interviewed Sheriff John Minor and Erika Turner to see the various ways in which they help the community. They were both helpful in different ways. Marlene and Alma
